Chiyu Liao is a poet from Taiwan who interrogates the affinity between modernism and right-wing ideologies in the 20th century, by the dissertation project on the KMT literature as well as by the poetry of his own. Literature is political, he maintains, not because of its might to reflect reality, but to create it.
