Please join us as we celebrate our PhD students who will graduate this spring.

Asher Gelzer-Govatos, Janelle Neczypor, and Ena Selimovic are completing their PhDs in Comparative Literature and we will host a virtual ceremony via Zoom. This is an occasion to celebrate the successful completion of their dissertations as well as their many contributions to the program and the university over their time in St. Louis. We look forward to seeing you and to recognizing the remarkable achievements of Asher, Janelle, and Ena!

Asher Gelzer-Govatos wrote a dissertation titled From the Papers of One Still Living: Kierkegaard and British Literature, 1932-1995.

Janelle Neczypor wrote a dissertation titled The Pathology of Passion: Lovesickness in Medieval Iberian Literature and Medicine.

Ena Selimovic wrote a dissertation titled Forms of Foreignness: The Racialization of Language in Contemporary Diasporic American Literatures.
